Composition of the tea Thé Vert Jasmin
Thé Vert Jasmin is one of the most famous, it is certainly the oldest of all the scented teas in the world.
The recipe for a good Thé Vert Vert Jasmin lies in the quality of its ingredients:
First of all, you need a Thé Vert Sencha from China, this green tea so well known for its delicate flavors and its many benefits. It is not for nothing that Sencha tea is sometimes called "the king of green teas".
The next step is to select the best Jasmine flowers. Jasmine is the most popular flower in China, it is the symbol of love and romance. Its smell is delicate and bewitching.
It is therefore quite natural that Thé Vert Jasmin was born in China, under the Song dynasty, to combine these two ingredients so representative of the quality of their expertise.
The delicacy of this blend lies in the good balance between the green tea leaves and the jasmine. At Compagnie & Co, we do our utmost to offer you a quality tea and a real moment of pleasure: we are always looking for the perfect balance between the taste of the tea and the aromas.
But before arriving in your cup, Jasmine tea undergoes a long and tedious work: Jasmine flowers are picked in August, they then cool for 3 to 4 hours which allows them to bloom completely. They are then placed on a layer of tea leaves and stirred so that they diffuse their aroma.
This action is then repeated several times. For the best teas, you can add up to 7 layers of fresh jasmine.
How to prepare your Thé Vert Jasmin so that it releases all the splendor of its aromas? It's simple:
We advise you to let it brew for 3 minutes in simmering water between 80° and 85°C.
But we can never repeat it enough: the secret of a good tea is to enjoy it first! You can shorten this time if you want a lighter taste, or lengthen it for a more intense result.
We are often used to drinking the Thé Vert Jasmin served in Japanese restaurants, but other food and tea combinations can reveal fabulous surprises!
Why not try pairing your tea with Jasmine to accompany the sweetness of milky desserts? Or on the contrary with tangy desserts to counterbalance the sweetness of Jasmine? A lemon cheesecake for example!
