What is the Rooibos Citron made of?
Discover our range of gourmet and fruity rooibos.
Rooibos is a small shrub, the Aspalathus Linearis, which grows only in South Africa, in the Cederberg reserve. It is the national drink of South Africa.
"Rooibos" means "reddish bush" in Afrikaans and this is not a coincidence: indeed the leaves of rooibos are red!
It comes in the form of a small shrub of about 1 meter in height.
Rooibos is not a tea, the tea is only from the plant Camellia Sinensis. Thus, rooibos does not contain any theine or caffeine, so you can consume it at any time of the day, especially in the evening.
Traditionally, rooibos infusion has a red-brown color created by the fermentation of the leaves. If the leaves are not fermented then the rooibos will have a color rather similar to green tea. This is called green rooibos.
Our Lemon rooibos is prepared with rooibos flavoured with lemon essential oil.
The benefits of rooibos

How to prepare this lemon rooibos so that it releases all the splendor of its flavours? It is simple:
We advise you to let it infuse for 3 minutes in a simmering water between 85° and 90°C.
