After the undeniable success of Christmas Tea, a blend based on black teas, and the successful launch of Star of the East based on green teas, what did a quality tea house need for the holiday season? A blend based on white tea. White tea, often called the “Emperor’s Tea,” is quite rare and therefore expensive, and it is usually found in its natural form rather than flavored. Creating a flavored white tea was a challenge that Compagnie & Co successfully met.
What is Thé des Neiges ?
First, a white tea had to be selected, and Pai Mu Tan stood out for its smoothness and the beautiful presence of its whole leaves. Then came the choice of flavors, a long search to both preserve the exceptional taste of this premium tea and offer flavors that evoke the holiday season. After several trials and months of tasting, a complex blend was born.
To complement the Pai Mu Tan, a little Chun Mee green tea was added to give extra vigor. While the full recipe remains secret, it reveals aromas of red fruits and baked apple. Finally, white petals are added to evoke snow-covered peaks in winter.
Snow Tea offers a nose filled with indulgent aromas, instantly immersing us in the holiday spirit. On the palate, the sweetness of the white tea is clearly noticeable, followed gradually by the gentle, varied flavors that dance across the taste buds.
It is recommended not to use water that is too hot; a temperature between 70 and 80°C is ideal to let this subtle blend reveal all its rich flavors.

Discover Our Christmas Tea Sets
Our Christmas tea collection is available each year until the end of January. Thé des Neiges, however, is offered for sale until the snow melts, usually until the end of March. This gives enthusiasts more time to enjoy its flavors.
During the holiday season, Thé des Neiges, comes in several formats: in kilos, 100g refill bags, and luxury metal tins of 90g and 25g. For tea on the go, it is also available in Berlingo® tea bags. All these formats maintain the same high quality.
These boxes are also included in various gift sets, such as the 2-luxury-box set where Snow Tea accompanies Christmas Tea. There are also sets with 3 luxury metal tins of 30g, and the classic Christmas tree ball containing 10 Berlingo® tea bags. This collection is an endless source of gift ideas to introduce Snow Tea to friends and family.
Due to the seasonal availability of Snow Tea—and without revealing any secrets—there’s a good chance of finding this blend in the 2023 edition of our Tea Advent Calendar.
