Do you know the island of Terre Neuve? It is also called Newfoundland.
This Canadian island is located in the east of the country, on the Atlantic coast, near the French island of St Pierre and Miquelon.
It is known for its breathtaking landscapes: cliffs, fjords, icebergs and abundant forests that are adorned with beautiful red and orange reflections in autumn!
Our flavored black tea Balade en Terre Neuve will transport you to this little Eldorado of Canada.
And who says Canada says...? Maple syrup! This naturally sweet syrup is an essential part of Canadian culture! Do you know how it is produced? In a few words, maple syrup producers tap the trees to collect the sap. This sap is taken to the "sugar shack" where the sap is boiled to evaporate the water and concentrate the sugar. The sap turns into syrup when it reaches 104°C. This syrup is then filtered to eliminate impurities and is ready to be tasted!
For a moment of pleasure and greed, our tea combines this delicious maple syrup with the greed of cooked apples and nuts.
The flavors of baked apples take us back to childhood, bringing back memories of freshly baked apple pie.
Finally, the nutty notes bring a light vegetal touch that reminds us of the Canadian forests.
This tea benefits from the unique process of our House: steam flavoring. This technique allows to freeze the aromas on the tea leaves by putting them in contact with the steam, so that they reveal fragrance and faithful flavors both in nose and mouth.
Tips for preparation
How to prepare this scented black tea so that it releases all the splendor of its aromas? It's very simple:
We advise you to let 2 grams of tea infuse for 3 minutes in simmering water between 85° and 90°C.
But we can never repeat it enough: the secret of a good tea is to enjoy it first! You can shorten this time if you prefer a lighter taste, or lengthen it for a more intense result.
We advise you to taste this tea in the afternoon, for a moment of pleasure and a gourmet break!
Our Balade en Terre Neuve tea is available in different bulk packaging: 100g luxury metal tin, 100G bulk refill bag, 1 Kg bulk bag & 25 tea bags box.
